This page will focus on the weekly Talmud Class that I lead at the Whitestone Hebrew Centre, Sundays at noon. During our first term we studied the last chapter in Mesechta/Tractate Yuma, discussing issues related to modern medicine, end-of-life, organ donation, and martyrdom, as well as some of the laws of Yom Kippur and Shabbat. We recently studied the last chapter of Mesechta Pesachim, dealing with the Pesach Seder, Shabbat Kiddush and Havdalah and more. We are currently studying Brachot, which deals with the Shema, prayers, blessings, etc.
The class is highly participatory with many lively discussions. All relevant questions are welcome!
